Why TCHS?

Here’s a question for you, what are teens really learning at school?

It’s not that they aren’t learning anything, or that studying calculus or current events are not valuable topics to spend time on, but how do such subjects translate into living and thriving in this world today?

How does PS curriculum help with turning young boys and girls into productive contributing adults?

With an economy suffering from egregious inflation, young people need good jobs now more than ever. At the same time, we see a generation that largely seems uninterested in work as us adults know it. I have a teenager, so I know this to be true. I’ve conducted a nearly two-decade study on the topic with a sample size of one! But in all seriousness, I’ve heard from other parents, and I’ve talked with other teens myself, and there is a real apathy out there about work, even if these young folks know deep down they need it more than ever.

So, there has to be a better way than what the government puts forth for students to learn in terms of preparing them for the workforce.

Technology

Tech is everywhere, and this generation of teens has never known a world without it. Yet, classical vocational classes focus on blue collar jobs that are great, but leave out tech jobs that are also great.

A wealth of knowledge – what to do with it?

After spending four years in college, and two more in graduate school, I went straight into the business of online marketing. 20 years later I’m still at it. Working remotely, building and leveraging small teams, and developing in-demand skills. I know all about it.

Spending over ten years in the ministry at the same time has taught me time management, the importance of putting the Lord first, and so much more.

What could I do with this knowledge? I prayed for God’s guidance, and He has led me to start TCHS.

Focused on Christ

Psalm 127:1 KJV Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Each video lesson starts with a faith application study. Some last almost as long as the subject-based material. Why? Because without God, this exercise is fruitless.

Yet with God, all things are possible, and in Him are pleasures forever more. I’ve given this over to the Lord, and am happy that He has allowed me to share it with you today.

It is my sincere prayer that the classes will help raise up a generation keenly intent on glorifying Him in all that they do, and bold in their witness for Him at the workplace.
